I am here to do this one thing: Preach the gospel to the weary and weak in heart, mind and soul. By fulfilling this assignment I aim to help people overcome their greatest enemy...often themselves. I want every person I meet to know no matter where they have been or where they are now, "God stil has a plan for their life!" I used to be a victim of abuse with no hope, and wanting to die, but now.......I am Living my LIFE to HELP others LIVE!
Pastor Joyce Gilmer has been chosen by God to serve the body of Christ in ministering the preached word of God. By His grace, she flows in the prophetic and gift of healing and ushers the yoke destroying anointing of God into conferences, seminars, revivals and retreats. Her real passion is ministering to hurting women in and out of the body of Christ to see them healed, delivered and moving forth into their purpose.
In 1991, she was called to minister the gospel and received her ministerial license. In addition to preaching for some 16 years, she has attended Aenon Bible College and the I.M.I Bible College and Seminary, focusing her studies on Old Testament Survey and Biblical Studies. Pastor Joyce is president and founder of Women Empowered Ministries, which holds an annual Women Empowered Conference, Days of Empowerment, Retreats and Seminars. She has completed the authorship of her first written work, "Healing Words For Wounded Hearts", which was released in the summer of 2007.
In 2004, she received an Honorary Doctorate of Divinty Degree from the Pentecostal Bible College in Tuskegee, Alabama for her work with women and in ministry. She adds to her roles of Pastor, that of Entrepreneur, wife and mother of two lovely daugters. More importantly, she feels honored to be among those chosen by God in this last hour to "Speak a word in season, to them that are weary." Pastor Joyce realizes, this thing called ministry can never be about us, but everything we do MUST be for the glory of God.
