Almost all of us know of the Holocaust. The terror and horror of the nazis and concentration camps. People living through tourture and dying in pain. That was during the 1940's. This pogrom of the Nazi regime took years to be demolished, and there is still people following Nazi-like behaviors to this day.
Darfur:"British Prime Minister Winston Churchill called it a "crime that has no name" -- the Nazis' deliberate and systematic extermination of as many as 6 million European Jews. But a name was soon found -- genocide, literally the killing of a people or nation. The Genocide Convention adopted by the United Nations in 1948 was meant as a pledge to ensure the horrors of the Holocaust would never be repeated. But since then, the world community has consistently failed to prevent the occurrence of genocide in places like Cambodia, Rwanda, Bosnia, and northern Iraq. Why has the promise of 'never again' proven so difficult to honor?"
Omar Al-Bashir is going against this pledge by replaying this act. "When Omar Al-Bashir rose to power in 1989 he dissolved parliament and banned political parties. Ignoring countless U.N. resolutions to disarm the Janajaweed militia and end the violence in Darfur, Bashir has made a mockery of international law and the ideals on which the United Nations was founded." He is still in this act and still has not been stopped.
"Ethnic African rebel groups in Darfur launched a war for independence, citing a lack of life saving government funds in the region. President Omar Al-Bashir responded with a brutal campaign of ethnic cleansing against civilians."
Over 400,000 people are dead and about 3,000,000 people are in concentration camps. People are being tortured, murdered, raped, beaten, over worked, and starved. These are mothers, fathers, sons, daughters, aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, etc. And each one of them could somehow be related to you.
This page is for teens to help stop the genocide in Darfur and to end this tradgedy. So I'm asking you all to please sign the petition, donate money, add us to your friends list, put a banner on your page, post a bulliten, just let these people be heard or speak out for them. We can put a stop to this with your help. So please get involved. Stop human homicide, kill genocide. World peace will never be in existence, but it only takes atleast one person to help change the world.
