CLIFFORD BABCOCK

About Me

Born at what has become the crossroads of I-94 and I-69 on Friday the 13th. Born before but came alive in 1968, the year my Momma bought me my first guitar. I have been known the last 20 years or so as a blues player, strapped behind a Stratocaster, but my heart of hearts is that simmerin' stew that comes from a blend of folk, rock and country. After all, the blues is the bedrock. The only thing better then leaning back with a hot band and throwin' notes is writing and singing my songs. I have a deep feeling for honest, bluesy, Americana music . I did almost 180 gigs last year and all though there will be less this year, they are quality gigs playing the music I want to play. Still trying to tie my demos into a real live album. Still waiting for an opportunity to put a band behind me for the songs I have here. Please have a listen to my tunes and comment if you will. http://www.downtownbattlecreek.com/events.taf...
