About Me

Stacy Gibson always knew she would wind up in the entertainment industry. Maybe having a photographer for a father, an uncle who’s a music manager/publicist, and a pair of aunts who work as an actress/recording artist and a television executive producer had some effect, Or maybe not. The most likely reason Stacy Gibson is an accomplished make-up artist is because she wanted to create magic on other people’s faces – the way her mother did when Stacy was just a little girl growing up in Los Angeles. Taking her inspiration from the careers of Kevin Aucoin and Sam Fine, Stacy won assistant positions with established make-up artists on a variety of projects, but she didn’t give up her “day job” until 2000. By then, actress Gabrielle Union had become a close friend, and Stacy’s work was on display almost every time Gabrielle appeared before the cameras. Word spread, requests grew, and a make–up career was born. In the years since, Stacy has been the department head on the hit UPN sit-com “All of Us” for its entire run, served as the key make-up artist on several films, has worked in support of innumerable awards shows, and her craft has been on display in a wide variety of national magazines. Specializing in beauty make-up for women, Stacy strives to enhance the eyes of her clients because she sees that as her primary function. “Artistically, the eyes are the focal point of the human face, and nothing else really matters if the eyes fail to attract attention,” she says. Stacy has also gained a reputation for having a gentle hand in the application of her craft (a rarer trait than one might assume), and for having a disposition that never fails to overcome her tendency to be “Clumsy Clara” on the job. Upbeat and universally well-liked, Stacy always exceeds her clients’ expectations with her talent, unaffected personality, and her willingness to travel to far-flung locations around the globe whenever duty (or beauty) calls.
