About Me

make your own map at: www.modmyprofile.com My curse is being 100 per cent creative. I need business or marketing to round me out, or so I have been told, or the sharks will eat me alive. Just another challenge to me. I like the way I be and don't want to be on any other ride in this life's carnival. Maybe try to befriend some sharks instead and see what we can accomplish together. I can't stop playing guitar and sucking up anything new I can. On a slide in open tuning kick now. Love to write lyrics, prose, stories. Illustrating, I think I have tried every media, but my strong points are oil, airbrushes, pencils, and the starkness of pen and ink. I am learning something with every pen stroke but after thirty years it has become a love/hate thing. Music is the only pain reliever in this world, but only the creative side of it, the writing and performing. That's what erases the hard part of life. Don't get me wrong, I know that without the hard part we couldn't appreciate the honey. So I don't try to escape, just realize the breaks are temporary as is the work. Lived in luxury on the beach in the middle of the Pacific, slept under viadocs (vy a duck?) while traveling to see the mainland, achieved artistic goals, still living my dreams and taking care of my loved ones. My kids all know me, and still love me, and I can't wait to find out what I will learn tomorrow ! My websites http://www.weezilmalone.com and www.weezilmalone.com/gunleather show what things have been keeping me busy currently, give 'em a look-see, the contents page has all the vital links from my music to making holsters for cowboy action shooters, even a little bit of interest in western diamond backs ( who knows whre that interest was born). Check it out. If you still want to know me, come on in !

My Interests

Putting down on board what I see, both inside my head and oout in the world using words, pictures, or music. Seeing and hearing and feeling what others see and feel and how they put it down. Through visual arts, acting, singing, you get the idea... Letting out what is in. My outlets are guitars, can't play enough. Listening and learning from music, movies, even the entertaining ones. I love fantasy. Reading is big. I am in the middle of a half dozen books currently, from "Escape from the Delta", to 4 different sword and fantasy titles, saddle making, and leather braiding. Good books I've just finished are both Muddy's and Howlin Wolf's biographies, the latest Terry Brooks, and 3 different books on revolvers and rifles of the old west. For grins I like to spin and juggle some 45 caliber six shooters, make my 1858 Remington new army revolver dirty with gun powder at the range, and make holsters and belts for those modern day cowboys out there. That's my newest artistic outlet, tooling and designing holsters. My eight year old daughter keeps me young right now, her energy and curiousity is never ending and I can't do enough research to make sure I have the answers to all of her questions. Just hope I have stored enough away in the old memory cells that i can retrieve when I need to. We are doing sometnig right because she is on top of her game and most of all knows she is loved without being spoiled. She makes us proud every day !
