Belper/Derby based, Amber Valley, Derbyshire, England, Europe, Earth, Sol System, Milky Way Galaxy, DZ-1 Universe, 75th Continium and so forth (ask local post office for details). Formed in late March of our Lordy, Lordy 2006, our band, born under a cruel Belper sun, consisted of the ever perfectionist Kev 'Kal-El' Jackson on guitar and vocals, Keith Moon's warped clone, Scotty Knoxville on drums and the ever-increasingly tall Tommy Carter on bass. Evil Owe returned from The Big Smoke and joined the band on April the 2nd as the flamboyant frontman and lead singer, leaving Kev more time to devote himself to the guitar and to fall back to backing vocals. Although Evil Owe has still never activily been asked to join the band, he keeps turning up and he knows the words (although there's a running bet on all new songs on how many words he remembers). And he is Evil! Within the first month of the bands slippery conception, Tommy decided to leave. Left with no other option we built ourselves another bassist from spare body parts and butchers cast aways. One stormy night, amongst belch of thunder and blue crack of lightning, Tom Lowe was thus created. The time had come, the moon was fat and we had a fulltime regiment with five songs. It was time to decide on the band name:- Future Echoes. After a few months we decided it was crap and was changed to the more comfortable Day Zero.Fast-forward sometime-ish, late one summer evening, our man-made bassist, Tom, departed. He was last seen walking towards the woods. He was obviously hungry and craved meat. He was last sighted heading North by North-East. A crushed Tennants Super can and a size fifteen footprint were the last clues to Tom's exsitence.Meanwhile, in the shadows there crept an unseen force. Fed from birth solely from the pure force known only as Rock sprung forth The Nathan. He jammed with us. His presence required him to join with our merry band. Twas fated. Fish (Derbyshire's very own Ashley Robinson) joined the band to take over responsibilities on the bass guitar. After finding out that another band was called Day Zero (an American punk band), we changed to Row Zed (for a week), then The Elematic Effect (for even less time) before settling on Polite Notice. We held our first grand performance at The Old Vic on 3rd of March 2007 with good friends abound. Some four gigs later Fish left the band on the 23rd of April. Emotionful and strange. Black clouds beckoned. But, with the position of bassist open, Tom Lowe fortuitously re-emerged into society, as if hearing a call from the wild. As he wearily emerged into the light, sheilding his eyes from the daylight he had previously shunned, Peak-Park rangers shot him with a sedative dart, tagged him and returned him to our little band. This left him about a week to learn three songs before the band went into the studio for their first "professional" recording on Sat/Sun 12th/13th May 2007. We recorded Dust Of Suns, Ricochet and Ride Out. Tom can still taste raw meat!Once priliminary tests had been conducted it was felt that we were ready to Rock once more. The scene was set and on the 2nd of August 2008 we burst forth at The Venue in Derby. Tom was tested and plugged in and was working well. There was a small chance overload and the resulting explosion would have taken out a good chunk of Derbyshire but we were willing to risk everyones lives in the name of Rock! And Rock we did. The new lineup worked better than any previous. But not to be. Thomas [Tenatts Super] Lowe once more disappeared. The call was too strong and only fleeting glances of his form could be recognised at the back of Rock venues. The Bass was then passed around the band during gigs, a strange and odd beast resounded. Playing in huge halls and rooms as small as your toilet ensued. Even Evil Owe was passed the Hallowed mantel as the Weapon of Rythym.Dan Lowe, the progency of all Rock, emerged and filled the ever empty void of Bass Player. Playing until the planets pass into equation he will perform. The few months he exisits within the fold are due to Fate. One day the Gods will bestow upon us The Position Of Bassist (Please apply within)!

Influences:Evil Owe: My influences were chosen regarding the impact they had on me, my life and my musical tastes as I became aware of them at the time. To list everything would take up pages, but within the handful of bands below are the seeds of my musical growth. Each band may not be the best of even their own genre and may not even be so much more than a joke to others, but each one opened me up to that style and form of music and everything that came with it.Queen (The earlier, the better), Megadeth, Metallica, Anthrax, Sepultura, Slayer, Kreator, Nuclear Assualt, Pantera, Bad News, Green Day, NOFX, Rage Against The Machine, Death, NIN, The Sex Pistols, AC/DC, White Zombie, Soundgarden, The Doors, Howlin' Wolf, The Cranberries, David Bowie, Deicide, Tool, John Williams, Bare Naked Ladies, Reel Big Fish, Credance Clearwater Revival, System Of A Down, All That RemainsVocal Influences: Freddie Mercury, Chris Cornell, Jim Morrison, Serj Tankian, Maynard James KeenanNathan:Favourite Groups: Pink Floyd, AC/DC, Black Sabbath, The Doors, The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Cream, The Who,The first group I ever listened to was the Beatles, that was at the age of nine. I knew then that there is great power and magic in music. I also knew then that I wanted to play guitar and be in a band. I didn't pick up guitar until I was in my early twenties and I have only been playing for five years, but in those five years I have learnt and taught myself a great deal. I am very passionate about music and playing the guitar, and it flows from deep within me.Guitar Influences: David Gilmour (Floyd), Angus and Malcolm Young (AC/DC), Eric Clapton, Rory Gallagher, Gary Moore, Jimmy Page, Toni Iommi, Jimi Hendrix to name but a few.Vocal Influences: Jim Morrison, Bon Scott Gilmour, Roger Daltry, Robert PlantKev:Bush, Nirvana, GNR, Blink 182, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, NeverlandTom:Enter Shakari, Metallica, Cream/Eric Clapton, Placebo, Killswitch Engage, Early Manic Street Preachers, GNR, Caliban, The Used, Funeral For A Friend.Scott: Metallica, The Who, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Black Sabbath, Thin Lizzy, Foo Fighters, Tenacious D, Led Zeppelin, Rage Against The Machine.Drumming Influnces: Bill Ward, John Bonham, Keith Moon, Chad Smith, Brian Downey (Thin Lizzy)Scotty vs. The Ball
