CREATIVITY IN ALL ITS FORMS......!!!!! Handspinning, weaving, writing, composing/arranging music (though its been a while since I have done it), drawing and painting, sewing, needlecrafting, soapmaking, candlemaking, jewelry making, antiqueing, custom sewing......I do a lot of what people would call "Lost Arts", they are a passion for me!
CELEBRATING LIFE AND LIVING!! Drumming.....dancing.....bonfires.....swimming naked at night.....snuggling with my love anywhere, anytime.....long slow kisses....flowing, comfortable ethnic clothes (Norse/gypsy)....walking in the rain......laughing often and from the soul.....waterfalls.....snowstorms.....homemade wine shared with good friends.....fur children (kitties).....cooking with my sweetheart........home and hearth....whispered secrets and sweet goodnight kisses......
Other passions? YES. My spiritual path. I am spiritually devout.
As far as between people? I love my friends, they are family to me.....and this year I have been very blessed in meeting Paul.....
He is truly my soulmate; my lover, best friend, fellow artisan, co-conspirator and at times voice of reason. We are really enjoying life and looking forward to getting old and grey together.
Artisans, craftspeople, spiritually-oriented people......people who are passionate and interesting, and aren't afraid to share ideas and philosophies, and/or their work, and aren't afraid to embrace life. I appreciate open communication on a deep level.
Your Love Style is Agape
You are a caring, kind, and selfless partner.
Unsurprisingly, your love style is the most rare.
You are willing to sacrfice your world for your sweetie.
Except it doesn't really feel like sacrifice to you.
For you, nothing feels better than giving to the one you love.
What's Your Love Style?
I am not a music snob.....I can't afford to be! I was supposed to be a music prodigy - I had 15 years of classical piano training, 8 years of opera vocal training and a whole lot of other stuff in between.
My big love is playing bass, and I started playing when I was 14. I have done the whole "signed band" (rock) thing and written and recorded a lot of stuff on my own as well.
I passionately love listening to GOOD music - pagan music and what some people label as "New Age", recorded nature sounds, waterfalls and thunderstorms.....I also listen to heavy rock - bands like "Type O Negative" and "Black Label Society" - I also listen to Big Band/Swing, OLD country, and bluegrass. My mother's side of the family were "hill people" and I grew up listening to them get together and play.
You Should Be a Musician
You have a rare combinations of talents: an ear for music, nimble fingers, and the willpower to practice.
You could master almost any instrument you choose to play (if you haven't already!)
What Sort of Artist Should You Be?
I really like period pieces; I also like comedy, historical/documentary, and good suspense. Favorites include "The Hunt for Red October", "Little Women", "Anne of the Thousand Days", "Lady Jane", "Elizabeth", and "Up Periscope".
I usually listen to music. When I do watch though, I usually opt for what I suppose most would call "educational" type stuff....documentaries, history, Discovery Channel, HGTV, DIY and the like. Among my favorites are "Holmes on Homes" - I learn something everytime I watch; - "Deadliest Catch" - those guys have guts - and the CSI's. And the Tonight Show when Jay shows "Headlines" :). Other than that, I usually keep the computer tuned on internet radio (Soma's "Drone Zone" rocks!!).
Right now, my library consists of mostly "How-To" books, tons of handspinning books, sewing books, cookbooks, self-sufficiency books, gardening books, weaving books.......you get the picture I am sure! And my beloved spiritual books. Mundanely, I like to read anything by Anne McCaffrey :)...... Ditto for Umberto Eco, Sherri Tepper, Anya Seaton, Anna Lee Waldo, Jean Auel, Tom Clancy and William Shakespeare. I enjoy selected books by Anne Rice, Ruth Montgomery, Kay Hooper, Tony Hillerman.
Among my faves on the spiritual side are the Witches Bible, "Mysticism" by Underhill, "Power of the Witch" by Laurie Cabot, "Circle of Shaman" by Karen Berggren, "The Women's Spirituality Book" by Diane Stein, "The Encyclopedia of Magic Witchcraft" by Susan Greenwood, and "Divine Magic" by Andre and Lynette Singer, to name just a few.
My grandparents.....for being there when I was adrift and needed an anchor. My friends....for loving me unconditionally in spite of my very human quirks and shortcomings, for wiping my tears, laughing with me and for encouraging me to pursue my dreams. My Gods and Goddesses, for keeping my feet and heart on the right path.
