music, baseball, gardening, reading, learning, writing, painting, drawing, making things....anything creative really, being outdoors as much as possible - and mostly, being in awe of my daughtermy profile = .. -- Copied from MySpace.com -- Find me on MySpace and be my friend!
mainly friends - gals or guys - I'm a single mom and pretty busy, so free time for socializing is limited at best...always looking to meet or chat with new people, all ages, makes and models are cool by me...if someone is interested beyond friendship, you must be tolerant of independence, honest, have ambition, be able to hold a conversation, have a sense of humor, emotionally available and able to check your baggage at the door. Dave Matthews fans and Cubs fans are encouraged to apply! ;)

all types, not too big into rap or country, but I appreciate a good musician, whatever the genre...especially LIVE music! I'm a DMB fanatic, been to 30! shows and counting. DAVE ROCKS! Love the Cranberries, Doors, the Fray, the Killers, Beatles, INXS, Pearl Jam, Rusted Root, Coldplay, Imogen Heap, Barenaked Ladies, Jennifer Hill, Gwen Stefani, Rob Thomas, the Samples, Greenday, Sarah McLaughlin, Brendan James, Teddy Geiger, KORN, Limp Bizkit, Rage Against the Machine, Bob Marley, Jimi Hendrix, Madonna, Prince (or insert symbol here), the Cars, Heart, Fleetwood Mac (& Stevie Nicks solo too), Aerosmith, REO Speedwagon, the Bangles (yep the Bangles and Suzanna Hoffs solo too), Cindi Lauper, Janis Joplin, Elvis....I really like Hispanic music...all of it and some classical too.....like tons of others, but too many to list...anything worth dancing to or that makes you sing along even if you shouldn't sing out loud....;)
PAY IT FORWARD, Crash!, Fried Green Tomatoes, Steel Magnolias, Stolen Summer!, Blair Witch Project, Life as a House, Heat, Midnight Run - anything with Robert DeNiro or Al Pacino. Wait Until Dark, When a Stranger Calls...and Arlington Road is one of the "scariest" movies I've seen. I love scare my pants off movies, not the gory B type movies, but suspense thrillers. I do like the sappy Lifetime movies here and there and can enjoy a good romantic comedy or total slapstick once in awhile.
Reality TV - American Idol, BB, Survivor, but I haven't watched the last few seasons of BB or Survivor. I'm getting burnt out. Biggetst Loser, Hell's Kitchen when time permits. Most recent addiction LOST! I watch alot of Nick and Disney (with Sam of course! LOL). I also watch alot of the Office, Scrubs, That 70's Show and Strong Medicine reruns. I tape CSI (the original), Medium and House every week to watch when Sam's asleep, but have dozens of unwatched tapes. I also watch Forensic Files and that Survivor guy on Discover once in awhile and Lifetime movies on weekends when I'm being lazy. Oh, and I can't WAIT for HEROES to come back on....I miss shows like Wings, Taxi and Cheers, but my favorite TV show is I Love Lucy!
anything by Stephen King (aka Richard Bachman), John Grisham, Dean Koontz, Mary Higgins Clark, Luann Rice, Agatha Christie, Alfred Hitchcock, Ann Rice... Usually I go for the extreme scare or mystery factor here, but if someone refers me to a good book, I'll give it a shot. I have read some awfully good Danielle Steele books although I don't like too much sappy romance...I've found some of her books have really surprised me in that regard....not at all ALL sappy romance novels =) Favorite book to date, hands down, is "INTENSITY" by Dean Koontz. I challenge anyone to refer me to a scarier, can't put it down book!
