Josh Gates started off playing baseball, rapping, & dancing at a young age. Even though he was more serious with baseball at the time, rap & dancing was a hobby. After making all star teams and receiving numerous of trophies each year. Flame decided after graduation to play for a college and hopefully get drafted to MLB. After graduation Spring 2004 he did just that, enrolled in a Jr College Fall 2004 and played 1 year of ball. While red shirting his freshman year he was still dancing and rapping to past time. While at the time he was dancing for New Orleans Artist Kilo, After hard thoughts about leaving baseball to pursue music he left the college and went to live in Orlando, Fl. Fall 2005 around Hurricane Katrina time, while on his own working he started networking with DJs and Artists, and while still locating family members and friends that were victims of Katrina music was the only relief. Coming back home Summer 2006 Josh Gates found Melvin Foley Artist Manager/CEO of Street Balla Records who also manages Baby Boy Da Prince. After linking up with Mel, Josh Gates started recording, traveling, and opening up shows with Baby Boy. After about a year of experience in the industry he saw what he needed to do to get to a high level in the game. So Summer 2007 Josh Gates wrote Hit single Look Back At It, after Mel came up with idea for a dance. The song has grown on people instantly, from starting on the mix shows on radio to the web on myspace, Josh Gates has performed in many shows and has talked to many labels.
Josh Gates has also appeared in a few films this year (2007) Black Water Transit starring Lawrence Fishbourne and Evan Ross and Racing For Time starring Charles "Rock" Dutton and Ya Ya just to name a couple both start playing in (2008) Josh Gates recently took a trip to New York where he met with Universal Republic about a deal and got one, be looking out for Josh Gates by the end of 2007 and 2008!!!
