HAMMERFALL - THE WAY OF THE WARRIOR
In the last decade of XX century ‘In a time of fear and confusion’, appeared theory that Heavy Metal is a tired genre, that it reached its top, and that its end is near. They tried to underestimate, disarm and lay it in a grave from which it will never rise again, but what they didn’t know is that they’re dealing with the beast that simply didn’t have any intention to die. Instead, it revenged with a strike of the hammer on which was carved PURE SWEEDISH STEEL, made by THOR & SONS.
A road to success is always long and hard. It demands a lot of struggle for one’s believes and fulfillment of goals. And if that struggle has a name it is certainly HammerFall. Mentioned time, that was crowded with bands that claimed to be metal, was not inclined to true Heavy Metal at all. That’s where the story begins, the story about these knights. And as the knights in ancient times fought to rescue fair maid, or to save the world from evil, these Knights of 21st Century fought for Heavy Metal, to return it to the throne where it belongs because it was Born to Rule.
The band started with work in 1993. when their repertoire was made mostly of Pretty Maids’ and Alice Coopers’ covers, but also the song that Oscar Dronjak composed - ‘Steel Meets Steel’ which marked the foundation of the band. In the years of Metal age that will come, from 1997. to present days they gave us six wonderful albums. The Kings left their Legacy and they always stayed Unbent, Unbowed and Unbroken.
