imikimi - Customize Your WorldMY PAGE WAS INSPIRED BY AND WILL BE DEDICATED TO LATTIE MCGEE......I WILL POST MORE INFO ON THIS SWEET ANGEL WHEN I RECIEVE IT...this is lattie mcgee, 12/29/82- 8/14/87. on 1/07/07 his story was on steve wilkos show. until then i had never heard this story.i'm glad i did.i understand it was 20 years ago ,my heart brakes as if it were yesterday.lattie was malnourished, burn marks everywhere,open lacerations, sores, a broken collar bone, and burns on his ankles from being hung upside down in a closet all night. there were potato peels and other things put over his eyes. his mother alicia was aware her b/f was doing this, never stopped it, and at points participated. then 28-year-old Alicia Abraham and her 40-year old boyfriend, Johnny Campbell, spent the summer beating the small boy with their fists, burning him with cigarettes and an iron, dunking his small legs into boiling water, depriving him of food and water, sticking him repeatedly with sewing needles and then wrapping a clothing line around his tiny raw ankles and hanging him upside down in the closet for the night. lattie and his brother cornelius abraham, were both abused that entire summer, because johnny did not like their feminine ways, lattie died from a severe blow to the head, but it was said he would have died soon fron his other injuries. even on the show his mother, after all these years was cold and heartless. like all these other angels/victims of abuse was he ever happy? did he ever feel love
On November 1, 2007, after spending six days in respite care with a family familiar to 12 year old Jaliek Rainwalker, he was returned to his adoptive father. The following day Jaliek was reported missing.Jaliek has not been found. From Elaine & Tom Person:When they arrived Saturday morning, October 27th, Stephen Kerr showed us Jaliek’s clipboard which had his homework and schoolwork on it. Stephen stated that, in addition to the printed worksheets on the clipboard, Jaliek had a writing assignment to “write letters of apology to the people he had hurt”. My husband helped him with his homework, saw the lengthy book reports he wrote and confirmed that the apology notes were written. He didn’t ask to see them because we felt they were private. The note, given to police as a “good-bye” note read: “Everybody, I’m sorry for everything. I won’t be a bother to you anymore. Goodbye, Jaliek”. It was in his best handwriting. We believe this was the letter of apology written to his home school group that he was no longer part of because of an inappropriate comment to a young child. Where after all this time is JALIEK RAINWALKER???? His living condiions were not exactly quality living.No running water,electricity,or in house toilet.
Before jJaliek went missing he had a 6 day respite and enjoyed it so much, he was due to go back a week later! Why would he run away when he could go back there soon and be have good times! Was he punished for enjoying himself?? The search continues for Jaliek Rainwalker and will until he returns....God Bless you buddy!
THIS STORY TOUCHES MY HEART IN WAYS I CANNOT EVEN EXPLAIN..I NEVER WANT THIS PRINCESS FORGOTTEN When a child services worker fails to do his or her job, the results can be deadly. Despite the pleas of three-year-old Tajanay Bailey's foster mother, Janice Springfield, Child Protective Services returned Tajanay to her mother and her live-in boyfriend in the dreaded Phoenix apartments last month. "I told Child Services that mom was no good, and that boyfriend was no good,” Springfield said. A month later the little girl is dead after allegedly being beaten to death by her mother and her boyfriend. "She was systematically tortured over the week of Thanksgiving by her mother's fiance and by the mother," [Marion County Prosecutor Carl] Brizzi said. "We believe both of the defendants actively participated in the abuse." An autopsy found Tajanay died from blunt force trauma to her head, neck and abdomen.Ironically, Tajanay's death came on the same day the Daniels' administration received an award from the Annie E. Casey Foundation for reforming the state's child welfare system. The squalid conditions police described in her mother's apartment after the girl's death should have given any child services worker pause. As described by the Star:Police called to investigate Tajanay’s death were appalled at the condition of the apartment, in the 4100 block of Edgemere Court. It was strewn with food and dirty dishes, said Marcus Kennedy, an IMPD homicide detective. There were cockroaches and mice, he said, and a rank odor that caused investigators to breathe deeply once they emerged into the fresh air.Even the couple’s pet snakes were in bad shape, said Ty Holder, an officer with Indianapolis Animal Care and Control who was called to the scene by police. Holder hauled away two 3-foot-long Ball pythons. Kennedy said he saw lying on a chair in the apartment a certificate indicating Green had recently completed a parenting class sponsored by the Indiana Department of Child Services.It is extremely troubling to learn that Tajanay had been removed from her mother's home twice for abuse and neglect. The last time she was taken from the home Springfield described physical injuries she had suffered. "[S]he had bruises around her neck, and it looked like somebody took a belt to her behind,” Springfield said, "adding that she urged Child Protective Services not to return Tajanay to her mother as recently as last month." Brizzi complained that there was no police report on the abuse Springfield described when Tajanay was last returned to her custody. I don't know what kind of reforms the Daniels' administration implemented, but they sure as hell didn't help this helpless little girl.
