I am the love child of Marlene Dietrich and was adopted by a greek family. Nanna Mouskouri is my grandmother. I travelled to London in the early fifties and I remember my darling mother singing with Rosemary Clooney in June of '54 at the Cafe de Paris.
At heart I am a country girl and was born in a one emu town in the middle of nowhere. There was one church. One bank. One school. One general store. One police station. One raliway station. One sex shop. With a population of 100. And a roadhouse. This is where the story begins...
Yes there was one emu that roamed the streets of Minnipa. In the early 60s I was crowned Pepsi Mirinda Queen of Minnipa. It was a turning point in my life, realising there was more to life in the big smoke and cities around the world. I have remained a cuntry girl at heart.
After many years of absence on stage, I have finally escaped the clutches of my alter ego Brian Tramountanas (North-Wind), the drag king, and I have regained my rightful place on the stage.
All of my performances are dedicated to my late partner Darren James Oates (1971-1999). In today's world it is important to be safe, especially with the rise of HIV. It affects each and everyone of us in one way or another. Life is way too short. Be safe.Thank you to everyone who I have shared a stage with - including behind the scenes. I could not have done it without you.
