About Me

The Image File is a documentary based around conversations with real women about real issues that affect every female that is part of Western Pop/Alternative Culture; the Culture of Image. A loose narrative depicting the adventurous construction of the film will help give context to the 'conversations' that will create a stunning, vivid and honest portrait of how females view the impact of the pop/alternative image culture not only on themselves but on the coming generations of women.

Set to be thought provoking, rebellious and raw, The Image File is without comparison made from the pure passion to create a film that stands up to the insecurity created from mechanical machine that is, Image Culture.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

Anewwave Film Productions have made a few feature films and gets into trouble when trying to represent and paint a realistic view of feminine culture.. so that made us think, "well what is a realistic view of the feminine identity"...

Cinema and pop culture we feel is making girls at younger ages, try to assume a more 'adult' persona sooner than ever.. so where's the responsibility and control of the social change if indeed there's social change? And why is it that when you try to view this culture realistically in art and cinema people seem to object.. well some people.

Violence and gore to the absolute extremes seems so acceptable these days whilst image and sexuality is still considered "adult", "taboo" and "unreasonable". Sure we can have reality tv flaunting cheap sex to sell.. but what about looking at the effects of such cheap marketing and exploitation on self esteem? New laws in Australia in regards to cinema make it even harder to study image and sexuality at all! So this film is a rebellion, a concise honest look at the influence on pop culture and sub culture on feminine image and personality, from the mouths of real people. There are no rules or regulations with this film.. if you have something to say.. say it.
