It’s about the Sun, the Moon and The School of Night. It’s about the heavens and the depths. It’s about a thought or a dream becoming a word. It’s about how it crystallizes, actuates and manifests. It’s about myths and meanderings. It’s about mechanics and muses. It’s about echoes and transmissions:The Party had begun, the first transmission being sent in the Autumn of 2003, EV. The transmission was composed of the caustic diatribes, nebulous musings and day-dream word-craft of J. L’Autre mingled with the intuitive measure, music and savvy sensibility of Das Gift.It’s about orbits, conduits, rain-drops and dichotomies:The transmissions evolved, becoming more complex and potent. The experiments from the Book of Rants, Vols. I and II, spawned a new source book from thought and sound- MILE 86. MILE 86 had a limited release but captured true collaboration. The momentum of J. L’Autre’s spoken word projects and Das Gifts musical endeavors outside of this collaboration were captured, rendered cohesive and catapulted through the vehicle of The Interested Parties.It’s about horizons, spirals and folding forward. It’s about blood and cum and seas of light:The Party continues. Currently J. L’Autre works with RM Engelhardt (the Lion) as co-editor of Dead Man’s Press Inc. Yesterday’s Machine, J. L’Autre’s most recent collection of poetry and musings and art will be available in May of 2007 EV. As well, Das Gift has kept his irons in many fires with projects such as Love Is The Devil and his own great work Sunset Aside.It’s not about the word, but what the word’s about.
