The Fairy Goth Mother

About Me

I love music, theatre, dancing, and being with friends. I miss 1470s (and always will..sob), but I luv Thursdays at Pearl Fridays @ the Foundry! Being with friends and the DJs playing great music always raises my energy level ...especially after a rough week @ work. I'm a legal secretary...which means I luv the Law! Well, the law pays the bills anyway : )! I'm the proud parent of Hannah...she's 14 (going on 25 I think), and am very active keeping up with her schedule. We have her friends here all the time and I love them all like my own. I'm an actress wannabe. I'm active in local civic theatre and try to participate in the annual Annie Oakley Days Melodrama plus a murder mystery dinner theatre here and there. Its all very corny, but the community luvs it! Its kinda cool to be recognized, too. I've also been participating in a local ghost walk to raise money for Darke County Center for the Arts. We tell stories about local "hauntings". I get to tell the story my way and try to entrace the crowd with a spooky story. We helped to raise money to bring in a wonderful musical to Greenville...Gentlemen Prefer Blondes. It was a great show and its great knowing that I got to be a part of it. I also try to assist my husband, Kevin, with his photography and art work. We'll soon be married....well a really long time! Our combined schedules and activities leave us with no dull moments. Sometimes I wish we were "normal", but hey, who's to say whats normal.Layout made by Megolasthebrave at CreateBlog.com .

My Interests

Music, theatre, dance, art, movies

I'd like to meet:

Anyone and everyone. I also want to keep in touch with current friends.

Music:

Goth/Industrial; Some classic rock (I have a thing for Steven Tyler); 80s hits are fun and I'm not poud of it, but I really like 80s big hair bands...Poison, Cinderella, Warrant...I even like classical music and opera. I'm not crazy about jazz or country though.

Movies:

Too many to mention. I just love movies, old movies, romantic movies, musicals, comedies, action, sci-fi, and of course, monster and vampire flicks. I love to flip through the movie channels on TV to try to name either the movie or an actor/actress in the movie. Its a game I play when there's nuthin to do, but I am pretty good!

Television:

Don't watch so much anymore but I really like Ghost Hunter...got the entire 1st season on DVD, but season 2 is even better than the first! I'm trying to convince my husband that he too can be a plumber by day and a ghost hunter by night, but so far I got nuthin! Old favs...That 70s Show; 2 1/2 Men; Charmed; What Not To Wear...new favs Medium on Monday nights and Love Monkey on Tuesday nights, but I found out it got cancelled:(. Oh, well, I guess I can get to bed early on Tuesdays.

Books:

I love reading and if I don't get to read everyday, even for a little while, I feel cheated. I finally finished Stephen King's Dark Tower Series and right now I'm reading Wicked...would love to see the musical, but its sold out! I love Neil Gaiman, I've read most of his books but I really loved Neverwhere...I've read it 3 times and I'm ready to read it again. I hear there may be a movie in the making...I'll be there!

Heroes:

I find a hero in everyone I meet. We all have our issues to deal with and conquer. Anyone who can get through a day and try to make a difference, just a small one, is a hero to me!

Nanny McPhee

I saw Nanny McPhee this weekend.  Emma Thompson is wonderful.  Not only was her character perfect, she wrote the screen play.  Why can't I write creative stories like that?  I high...
