Simon Legault is a guitarist living in Montréal, Québec, Canada. He performs regularly in and around Montreal. In March 2007 his quartet won first prize in the "Jazz en Rafale" competition. Their first CD was released in March 2008 on Effendi Records.

"Here, in numbers like the up-tempo contemporary bebop of "What to do" and in the slow lyricism of the album's title track, we hear a plectrist with romantic leanings but who can also play hard and bluesy, as he does in "Hoax" and "Pay the man".(...) In this sparse setting, Legault displays his comping abilities to good advantage, with chordal figures and unfettered counterlines interwoven in a musically seamless fashion, as in the harmonically lush "Cosmos" where Legault proves his mettle as a musician first and guitarist second by playing the song and the musical moment with much sensitivity."
