11-8-06: Additional Requirement Added: As� Wednesday, November 8th, 2006, the Louisiana Commission is making HIV Testing MANDATORY for ALL Amateur MMA Fighters.

This requirement may be mandatory for all Amateur Kickboxers too, but this was not confirmed in the conversation and we hope to have clarification on this soon.

This is already a mandatory requirement for all Pro Fighters. Tests need to be updated every 6 months. Fighters are required to have and show a copy of their tests from the testing location to the event physician Giving the pre-fight physicals. Failure to show proof of such tests will result in the fighter being pulled from the event.
