Born the 14th February 1976 in Charleroi (Belgium), Rafael develops an early intense interest in electronic music.
Under the impulse of his godfather, Alain Orban, one of the founders of Radio Metropolis, Rafael began, on his own, to throw several parties with Funlight Sonorisation. During this period, he enlarges his musical culture, improves his technique and turns himself in alternative tendencies.
Rafael continues his Dj career with mobile disco until 1997. Then, with much experience under his belt and thanks to his know-how, Dj FUNNY, his artistic alter ego, collects the residences and the invitations as Guest Dj in the majority of the establishments of the South of the Country and the Capital.
In 2000, after his experience of announcer on Radio Action in Brussels, Rafael decides to turn himself exclusively in "House Music" in order to break his image of “generalist Dj” (which he doesn’t disavow).
That’s in 2006 that the "artistic baby" of Rafael is born: THE COIMBRA, night club, which he became also the artistic director. This event marks the end of the career of Dj FUNNY to the profit of Dj Rafael’s, Using his true name is more in phase with his personal musical evolution "HAPPY HOUSE" influenced by the Baléaric, tribal and Latino style with a touch of Jazz...
The objective of Rafael is to provide a maximum of pleasure to the public without denaturing its musical universe.
2007 is the year of change for Rafael who travels more and more for the promotion of his first single with the complicity of Rudy, true genius of the keyboards...
With EIVISSA AGENCY, the dream of Rafael is to be able to pose his flight-cases on the five continents to learn more about cultures and to share his passion for music.
Né le 14 février 1976 à Charleroi (Belgique), Rafael développe très tôt un vif intérêt pour la musique électronique.
Sous l’impulsion de son parrain, Alain Orban, membre fondateur de Radio Métropole, Rafael anime seul ses premières soirées avec Funlight Sonorisation. Durant cette période, il élargit sa culture musicale, améliore sa technique et se tourne vers des tendances plus alternatives.
Rafael continue la sonorisation mobile jusqu’en 1997. Ensuite, fort de son expérience et grâce à son savoir-faire, Dj FUNNY, son alter ego artistique, enchaîne les résidences et les « invitations» dans la plupart des établissements du Sud du pays et de la Capitale.
En 2000, après son expérience en tant qu’animateur sur Radio Action à Bruxelles, Rafael décide de se tourner exclusivement vers la « House Music » afin de briser son image de « Dj généraliste » (qu’il ne renie nullement).
C’est en 2006 que le « bébé artistique » de Rafael voit le jour :
LE COIMBRA, night club dont il devient également le directeur artistique. Cet événement marque la fin de la carrière de Dj FUNNY au profit de celle de Rafael, plus en phase avec son évolution musicale personnelle « HAPPY HOUSE » influencée par le style Baléaric, Tribal et Latino avec une touche de Jazz…
L’objectif de Rafael est de donner un maximum de plaisir au public sans dénaturer son univers musical.
2007 est l’année du changement pour Rafael qui voyage de plus en plus pour la promotion de son premier titre avec la complicité de Rudy, véritable génie des claviers…
Avec EIVISSA AGENCY, le rêve de Rafael est de pouvoir poser ses flight-cases sur les cinq continents pour découvrir les autres cultures et faire partager sa passion pour la musique.
En Mai 2008, après plusieurs mois de "pause" Rafael et Rudy B créent le Groupe SUNWHERE et sorte un premier E.P. "Up & Down" feat. Rebecca...à suivre
