Band Members: Sad News To Announce My dear friend and fellow musician Jim Haywood passed away on Monday night, the 4th of May. It's a long and storied past that we shared, and I will save that tale for another day. A few of you out there may remember Jim from our original 3 piece blues band from a few years ago, called Krywolf, but that's just recent history. I've known Jim since 1964, when we moved in next door to him and his family. There are too many memories, too many gigs, too many laughs, too many stories to detail here right now. Jim was far and away the best guitar player I've ever had the pleasure of sharing a stage with, and after being in bands on and off since the early 70's , there have been an awful lot of good players I've been lucky enough to play with. More important than that, was the deep bond I felt with him, even when we didn't always agree. Any of you who were ever in a band know what I'm talking about. I'm just feeling really sad right now, and my heart and prayers go out to all his family and friends. My dear friend, I will miss you so very much. Knowing that the reunion can now never be really hurts. Jim, I hope you are at peace. RussBig Thanks to our great friend Dennis from Michigan Harley Rider. As if putting together the bike run for us wasn't enough, he has also made a REAL NICE contribution to the fest out of his own pocket.Man there really are some great people in this world. With all the bad news we get bombarded with every day, It just blows my mind to come across people like Dennis, who go the extra mile to try and help us make the fest a success. Dennis, we appreciate you SO MUCH, and can never repay you for all that you've done for our cause. If you feel so inclined, drop by his site and tell him thanks, and sign up for the ride while your there! www.myspace.com/michiganharleyriderThanks, the Michigan Vet Fest Committee
