About Me

Marko Radu is a musician from Sydney who began playing guitar in 2005. He was 16 at the time so his family had pretty much given up on the idea of him ever pursuing music seriously despite the natural flair and raw beauty he possessed in his voice. His kin have been involved in musical ventures of varying degrees for their entire lives, so Ardelean Svengali – Marko’s terminus a quo – came as no surprise. Two years later, he joins you here with his very own music – melodic journeys inspired by mythology, ancient history, natural science, metaphysics and the supernatural – cognitive processes captured and recorded as sound.

Come in … detune with the nativists in a foreign land – fall in with offbeat, antiquated peculiarity and vanquish everything universal. Be strange in the familiar – be the blind seer of photic darkness. Be the uninvited, laughing stranger at a funeral and discover some truths – be false to truth and she’ll punish you with kindness. Don’t fret if you lose your flat keys on the high seas because there’s a major minor on staff.
Please visit Cum de Nu - Marko's pet project - and listen to Ardelean Svengali's dedicatory opuses:
~ DAVENPORTamento RIP (Inspired by the Davenport Brothers)
~ Vlad Tepes III (Ruda de sange)
~ Raising Mary Rose (She lives!)

The usual suspects – too many to mention. Over the years I’ve been impressed by an array of artists for a variety of reasons – originality, creativity, scope, bizarreness of concepts, great technique, sincerity in feel, sophisticated compositions, penetrating, insightful lyrics (when featured), blah blah blah….

I really just want to mention the artists/composers/bands who have it all – in good measure, of course.

Let's see …
