Music not only is perhaps the greatest thing in his life but also his saviour. Everything from a simple bass line to a crazy rhyme reflects some point in his life. Growing up he never really had the opportunity to ‘fit it’. He had a unique style and swagger that of which had never before been witnessed by citizens of his area. It wasn’t until the flood gates had opened and raps music and influence blended into the culture that people had begun to understand what he was about.At an early age Daje found his love and passion in this particular style of music, Rap. Legends of the game that had made there immortal mark such as 2pac, Biggie, Easy E, Big Pun, Nas and Jay-Z still till this day are major influences on his everyday lifestyle. However as the time went on, the spark had somewhat dimmed. It wasn’t until a discussion about music in school did the spark re-ignite. At the time new age greats had hit the scene. Dr Dre, Bone Thugs, Snoop Dogg and Puff Daddy (P. Diddy) were big on the regular listening list for the young rapper. Combined with a school friends knowledge of the rap game they began to make their own flow…Daje was unmatched in comparison and was seen as ‘the man behind the mic’. From this point several others have come before him 2 witness his dexterity with words. However never one to gloat, Daje offered his opinion on several fellow rappers styles and since then they have improved to a level they thought they never would.The particular style of Daje is unique. Preferring to write his lyrics then rhyme ‘free-style’ some had doubted that he was a ‘real’ lyricist. Yet in the time it took for others to listen to the beat and flow, Daje had already written a verse.. one that usually received a greater ovation and even the admiration of his rivals.Upon meeting Bill, the strength of musical influence in peoples lives had increased dramatically. The two decided it was time to shake the music world with the skills they posessed. Armed with lyrics and beats they combined to make some rough edits of songs. ‘Smiles and Waves’ ‘End Up At The Top’ and ‘Next One To See’ were the first three productions. Then the styles changed…..A new era emerged, Bill had teamed with long-time friend Muv to create a faction. One of which gives a new meaning to the quote ‘music is life’. They had formed Sexlectro, a new style of electro beats combined with house. After hearing the tracks laid out by the two, Daje began to wonder… “is it possible to rhyme over such different beats?â€. He was skeptical. It wasn’t until hearing ‘Hangin on’ that he decided it was time to try….The results were as if it was the way it was meant to be. Sexlectro would surely peak…Hoping to tour very soon they wait with their passion and drive to send their names into the annals of time with their beats and word play… You wont be disappointed!
