About Me

Carter Corn is a vocalist, composer, arranger, harmonica player, and guitarist from Gainesville, Ga. He has played venues all over the Southeastern United States and in Europe. He studied music at North Georgia College and State University. His original compositions have been heard on 92.9 Dave FM in Atlanta, 103.7 FM in Athens and on various college radio stations including 89.1 FM @ Brenau University. He has been appearing as a solo act and with various bands since 1999. He has independently released 6 records. Soon, he will release his follow-up to 2006's 'Ruminating', the new album is a true departure from his former style of pop sensibility, it deals with real life and it's adversity. It was recorded over a year in 3 different studios in Florida and Georgia. 'Deconstructing a Dream' is quickly gaining acclaim among the music community as a work of shear honesty and humanity, a return to the soul. Carter said about the making of the album:"In order to understand the adversity around me, I had to be immersed in it long enough to drown out the noise of the world. Once my life quieted enough, I could hear the truth within myself and what it sounded like. That is what 'Deconstructing a Dream' is all about. It became a concept album, but not intentionally."
