Josh Reed

My name is Josh Reed and I grew up attending public schools in Virginia Beach, Virginia. I went on the Harrisonburg for college graduating from James Madison University with a degree in Music Industry and a minor in Jazz Studies in the spring of 2007. I am now attending the Eastman School of Music studying jazz trumpet for a masters degree and I plan to finish in the spring of 2009. The clips I have posted online are from a few different groups including the Matt Coyle quartet, The Kate Gentile group, and Bending and Breaking. I am currently pursuing new groups to play with in Rochester and the surrounding areas. I have also performed with the JMU Jazz Ensemble in Montreal at the L'off festival and Europe at the North Sea and Montreux Jazz Festivals. I also performed with the Disney Collegiate All-Star Band at Disneyworld in the summer of 2004. I have recorded for a funk group Midnight Spaghetti based in Harrisonburg, Va. as well as on the track "Signs" on Snoop Dogg's release Rhythm & Gangsta: The Masterpiece, the track also featured Justim Timberlake and Charlie Wilson. Various artists I have had the honor of sharing the stage with include: Allen Vizzutti, David Pope, Jovino Santos Neto, Rich Perry, Ed Neumeister, Clay Jenkins, Greg Yasinitsky, Vince DiMartino, Dana Landry, Jim White, Eric Applegate, Andre Leroux, Remi Bolduc, Stephen Mead, Katrina Marzella, Richard Sebring and Sheona White.
