Marina's Daughter is the result of a collaboration between vocalist Kate Zenna and the composer/guitarist Jonathan Fessenden.
Working primarily out of Los Angeles, they bring their respective influences from Toronto and Florida to create a unique electro-pop sound that has tones of Goldfrapp, Portishead, Zero 7 and Morcheeba but also offers an extremely accessible edge that will undoubtedly catch fire quickly once their debut album 'Love Crash' is released in Summer 2008.
One of their singles, 'Sweet Takeover', is currently on the soundtrack of the recently released indie film 'Pornstar' starring Johann Urb.
The mesmerizingly soothing vocals of Kate Zenna accompanied by Jonathan Fessenden's beats has garnered many fans in the bands short time together. Marina's Daughter has played in Los Angeles with their full band (bass, drums, keyboard, guitar and backing beats) at El Cid, LA Women's Music Fest, Bordello and Genghis Cohen.
