The UN Spacy is the way of tomorrow today combined with the Robotech Defence Force we offer unlimited opportunity.The UN Spacy was established on January 2001 as the Earth United Nations Forces of the Earth United Nations Government. Althought he term UN Spacy can specifically refer to the Space going Navy and its personnel and equipment, it generally refers to all of the branchs of the UN Armed Forces.The primary purpose of the UN Spacy at that time was to maintain peace on Earth and defend Earth against the possibility of an Alien attack. Its purpose has now expanded to include protecting all Earth Colonies and defending against Anti-UN, Rogue Zentraedi and other threats. As well as keeping the local spacelanes safe for civilian spacecraft.During its first eight years the United Nations Spacy was engrossed in rebuilding the SDF-1, and developing new fighters and spacecraft so as to defend Earth against any possible stellar invasion force. The UN Spacy were the sole defenders of the Earth during the First Robotech War, and under-took this massive task with a clam sense of professionalism despite the lack of experience amongst their personnel and the unfamiliarity with the new high-tech equipment and tactics that they had to employ. Ultimately despite all of their flaws they succeeded, and in the final battle of the Robotech War defeated the Zentraedi leader Dolza.After the battle with Dolza's mainfleet the UN Spacy fleet began rebuilding itself under a newly renamed Government. This new Government was named the
'United Earth Government'.
In October 2011 the UN Spacy fleet captured a Zentraedi Factory Satellite allowing the UN Spacy to rebuild their fleet at a much faster rate than ever before, once they had mastered the workings of the Factory.United Nations Spacy
UN Spacy is the most famous of all the divisions of the UN Forces. It is the UN Spacy that defends the Earth from attacks from outer space. The Robotech Defence Force, and other space fleets all fall under the control of the UN Spacy. This division of the UN Forces is the largest of the four divisions and covers the bulk of the Military's duties.United Nations Navy
Many people on Earth still feel the call of the high sea's and dedicate themselves to its defence. These sailor, soldiers and Valkyrie Pilots are based aboard the aircraft carriers and submersable landing craft of the Naval Forces.United Nations Air Force/United Nations Space Air Force
The UNAF is charged with the protection of the airspace of Earth. The UN Air Force also deals with the regulating of aircraft on Earth. The UN Air Force is probably the 3rd largest Division of the UN Forces next to the UN Spacy & UNSAF.The UNSAF is the UN Spacy Space Air Force. These are the pilots of the Variable Fighters attached to the space units, but does not include UN Spacy ships. They are commonly found on orbital bases, and space outposts.United Nations Space Marines
The UNSM is much like the UN Army in many ways being Infantry, however they are more specialised as they have always been throughout history. Where the Army are the effective ground Infantry, the Marines are the Infantry for the Navy and Spacy, and in assaults which they are involved in are normally the first in to secure beach-heads.United Nations Army
The UN Army is the ground Infantry of the Earth United Nations Forces. The UN Army is probably the largest branch of the UN Armed Forces as far as numbers of personnel go, but they are also one of the most overlooked when prospective UN personnel apply to the Academy's, most wanting to become Variable Fighter Pilots, Starship Crew or Marines. However the Army is an essential part of the UN Armed Forces in both peace and wartime, proving ground troops and civilian rescue personnel.
