About Me

"Nothing is static. Everything is falling apart." This is a quote from my favorite movie, Fight Club. I agree though only the weak let it continue to fall apart. We are constantly battling the entropy of our lives.I'm ready for change. Big, huge, drastic change.. and I have a plan. Nothing is static but it seems like the last three years have been for me. Progressing into the next stage of my life will take motivation, determination, sacrifice, and patience - lots of patience. But hey, no one said it would be easy.To the challenge and to new horizons.

My Interests

What's up? My name is Denis and I live in Michigan although I've been thinking of hightailing it to Texas. I own an IT company based out of Southfield, MI. Including the time I spent with my previous company, I've been in the game for over three years now. I'm pretty much obsessed with everything fitness. I love to mountain bike, snowboard, kickbox, and work out at the gym. I go to Lifetime Fitness so hit me up if you want to work out. I'm also seriously considering getting into rock climbing. I got my bachelor's degree from University of Michigan Ann Arbor, but eventually want to get my MBA too.

I'd like to meet:

Barack Obama to tell him that he's doing a great job. George W. Bush to ask him why he destroyed the world.

Music:

Rock, Alternative, and recently as of this year... Country!

Movies:

Fight Club is by far the best. Close runners up include The Devil's Advocate, Lord of War, and Blood Diamond.

Television:

I admit it. I'm addicted to network television. My favorites include The Wire, 24, Heroes, Prison Break, Sopranos, and Battlestar Galactica. There was a really good mini-series on HBO called Generation Kill. I highly recommend watching.

Books:

I really like Chuck Palahniuk books. Fight Club is my favorite.

Heroes:

My dog, Kendra. She's a Weimaraner. My cat, Persephone. I found her in the Jackson ghetto.

Mountain Biking is Awesome

So Stephanie, my kickboxing instructor, comes up to me at the end of class today and says, "Were you angry at something today? You showed a lot of aggression during class." Keep in mind that her mic w...

Where do your social responsibilities lie?

If you knew that your action could jeopardize someone's well being would you still do it? How about if your inaction acheived the same result? Would you move to action? I'm convinced that most people ...

I think it’s time to go

All of Michigan is spiraling towards Flint status. I've been thinking, there's nothing really holding me here. I can easily shut down my company. I have no wife and kids. I don't own a house. I'm stil...

I'm instating a strict no drama policy applicable to all parts of my life. Let's hope it sticks!
