Vocal 5 is a talented group of vocalists that specializes in the acappella style of singing. Created in 1999 as a group of men from the Brazilian city Porto Alegre, capital of Rio Grande do Sul, Vocal 5 gained a reputation for singing Spirituals and Gospel music for various events, including performances in schools, TV and radio programs, theatre and corporate events. As time passed, Vocal 5 expanded its repertoire to Popular Brazilian Music (MPB) and other international popular styles. Even the group itself has changed, with the addition of a female voice and a vocal percussionist. Now Vocal 5 is Karine Rodrigues, mezzo soprano, Celso Francisco, beat box, Bruno Collischon, bass, Manuel Abreu and Eduardo Alves, tenors and founders/arrangers.
