WHO ON EARTH IS BAXTER?!?
That's the first thing everyone asks at a Chasing Baxter show. Well, here’s the story.
Jeremiah relocated from London, England to Connecticut in 2005 and shortly started a band. As with many new bands, drama and line-up changes were inevitable. After several iterations of members, the band finally settled down when Allie came on board in 2007. Allie and Jeremiah briefly transitioned to Chasing Baxter Acoustic, exploring different songs & venues throughout early 2008. Despite the fun new experience, they missed the edge of a full band. Rob’s enlistment on drums in summer 2008 and former bassist Adam’s return January 2009 proved to be the final elements needed to complete the Baxter sound and attitude. Chasing Baxter picked up hot & heavy again in no time and has only been gathering more speed and fans since!
What kind of music do we bring to the scene? Chasing Baxter plays covers (for now...), but is by no means your "typical" cover band. We classify our genre as "modern rock," concentrating mostly on rock, pop & alternative favorites from the 90s to present day. Our set list is constantly changing as we stay current with the radio playlists and revive some past favorites. From punk and hard rock, to smooth acoustic & reggae, to addicting pop & alternative, you never know what you'll hear next in any given Baxter set. Don't worry - we still play some tunes you can sing and dance to, even after a few drinks! And because of the vast variety in our repertoire, we have the ability to adjust our set list to any audience. One thing we can guarantee -there's always something for everyone at a Baxter show!
The members of Chasing Baxter are serious about their craft, but are easily the most laidback awesome people around. We all have 9-to-5's and families in some way, shape or form, just like our fans. You won't see any crazy egos attached to this band - we just love to play out and entertain an audience. If we're not having fun, then chances are you aren't either - and what's the point in that?!
