About Me

Uno started playing guitar when he was 15. Influenced by the country guitar pickin’ style of a neighbor who could pick “Wildwood Flower” and “Wheels” with the best, Uno bought an electric guitar and never looked back. An avid listener and fan of 70’s rock, he was also influenced by The Allman Brothers, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Eric Clapton and other guitar driven music. He started writing songs in the late 70’s. In the 80’s after writing some Christian worship songs and singing them in church, he learned how influential a well written song with a good melody could be. People told him they were really moved by his song writing. Encouraged by his wife to pursue the craft on a deeper level, he started making trips to Nashville. In 1998 he moved his family to Nashville. Uno quickly found out that Music Row is a hard row to hoe but persistence pays off and you celebrate each success. In 1999, CBS took “Will You Be Here in the Morning?” for “Touched By an Angel” TV show. In 2004 he co-wrote “Polka In Paradise” with Lance Wing. “Polka In Paradise” became the title track of Jimmy Sturr’s album released in July 2006 and the album won a Grammy for Best Album 2006 in Category 74 Polka.Uno hears his true songwriting voice within the grooves he finds on his guitar. He believes great songs are real emotions wrapped up in melody and lyric that comes to life in the listener. Uno’s endless passion and desire is to connect with the music lovers of the world through his songs.
