Omar Nambo

The story of Omar Nambo starts with the muscians father, who in his youth played as a mariachi singer and guitarist in Michoacan, Mexico in the late 60's early 70's. Having left the music lifestlye behind him and mexico, Miguel Nambo left for the states to arrive to TX, and started a life of hard work and dedication for his soon to be family some 12 years later. Having grown up mexican american the ideals, traditions, vaules, and sense of idenity was something I allways have struggled with. Yet my father being the person who taught me everything he knows about music, and for him to pass that on to me is something I will forever be grateful for. As of now I'm interested in remaking that old tradtional sound with untradtional subject matter. Speaking of what all youth and peolpe can relate to and learn from. I'm interested in making more than just one genre of music, but mostly creating & fusing traditional mariachi/latin music into modern songs and danceable rythms, while fusing other styles to create a more modern approach to that old tyme feel.
