INDIGENOUS GLOBAL JUSTICE is a newly formed "organization" concerned with our Indigenous people's participation in the United States military and how the "warrior" aspect of our societies has been exploited by the U.S.military to provide them with more disposable soldiers for unjust wars. We invite Native veterans who know what war is like to help our young people make the decision that "military service" is an action that should be avoided. Our view is that one does not need to go overseas and kill or be killed to reap the "rewards" that come with what someone elses interpretation of a "warrior" is. Being a "warrior" is not a glorified death or the act of taking another's life. It is basically, being here or there for the people when being called upon. It is being able to approach our battle on many fronts against alcoholism, drug abuse, addiction, domestice violence, ignorance, selfishness and any other "negative" that plagues our communities.
We also welcome any woman or man, youth or elder, within our Indigenous community that would like to get involved and help provide alternatives to "military service," as well as promoting education (REAL education; NO false education that makes our people believe we cannot think for ourselves);sobriety (staying clear of drugs and alcohol to ensure we make level headed decisions); spirituality (a connection to our beliefs, NOT FAKE notions of our spirituality overloaded with "dreamcatchers" and "healing crytals";solutions to domestic violence and abuse through conflict resolution, true sovereignty (No fake "quasi" sovereignty) and basic everyday oppurtunites to instill positive words combined with positive actions.We are formed by the few for the many, situated in Lawrence, Kansas but are connected worldwide as we share similiar struggles with our Indigenous people all over in all continents.IF ANYONE FEELS LIKE THEY WOULD LIKE TO GET INVOLVED SEND A MESSAGE OR A COMMENT....
