Someone pointed out to me that my profile mistakenly said "non-religious" and I needed to change it. Nothing could be further from the truth- although, technically, I do NOT consider myself to be "religious". Religion is not something I am a part of. I am a sold-out, blood-bought, born again Christian. Jesus Christ is everything to me and I am a Christian, first and foremost. It affects every part of my being. Everything I do and every word I say- hopefully. I am not perfect- far from it. I am also not a hypocrite. What I say is the heart of me. If you see something contradictory then that is because I am "HUMAN" and I falter just like anyone else. But at the heart of me, this is who I am. I have written this much about this in my profile so that you "get" who I truly am. It is imperative to me that you do. I don't want to waste anyone's time here, nor my own. And if you cannot link up with every single word I've said here, I promise you- you are not the man for me. Being "religious" will not do for me. Even being a "Christian" is not necessarily it, as I have discovered there are MANY things that fall under the guise of "Christianity" these days. Now that we got THAT out of the way, let's move on to the lesser things. ;)

I am a very happy-go-lucky kind of person, for the most part. I love life and I love showing that. I see beauty in many, many things and love truly taking in God's creation. I love Photography for this reason- I am able to capture that and keep it past just that moment. I adore my children and they are the most important thing in my life, next to my relationship with Christ. Whoever I am involved with would have to understand this and, eventually, embrace my children, as well. My children "situation" is as such... I share joint custody of my 13 year old with my ex- my other children are grown and living on their own now.

I have been told that I am "hard to get over" and that is because I love with everything that I am and love to take care of the person I am with, in new and creative ways. I am unique. :) I am attentive, caring, compassionate, kind-hearted, creative, passionate, an excellent speller (lol- and yes, I'm anal about it ;) and can be giving to a fault- usually to my own detriment. Those are the good things. :) Now for the not so good... I am stubborn, sometimes hard-headed and adopt a never-say-die mentality that CAN be a good thing, when used for good and not evil. lol Unfortunately, it also means that sometimes I don't know when to quit. ;) I can be jealous if I feel I'm being disrespected in a situation. But then I shouldn't have to feel that way either and there wouldn't be a problem. ;) I tend to be a bit impulsive in some situations and react before thinking things through, but I'm getting better about this one. ;) I also have a tendency to over-analyze things. There... the good with the bad. Still interested? Read on... :)

Music was my first love and I can find appreciation for almost any genre' so I love to do anything musically related- from concerts in the park to symphonies- and I love art, museums, etc. I love to cook and have been told I'm pretty good at it. ;) Scrapbooking is my favorite hobby, as well as a second income. I'm a Writer so I'm always working on something, whether it be one of many of my "works in progress" or lyrics or poetry, etc. I'm currently working on a very special book and most days you can find me chugging coffee and writing away at the local coffee shop (that's in between work, kids, social activities, church, etc., of course! ;) Love to read, as well- pretty much anything to do with end-time prophesy, self-help, motivational, parenting and some light romance. And, of course, the ULTIMATE book- the Bible! :) I love to dance and do not understand for the life of me how people can listen to music with a beat and not MOVE! lol

My favorite thing to do is spend time with my beautiful girls (Faith, 18 & Bri, 12 and/or Holly, 23) doing pretty much anything! :) I'm open to a lot of things and just love to have fun. LIFE is fun to me and I can enjoy a myriad of things- I just want good company to share them with. ;)

After reading about a gazillion profiles (no- really! I have! I counted! ;), I have discovered that men and women really ARE different (you don't say?!). SO- it stands to reason that our interests will differ, but is that really what's important? It is? Ok- well... let me just say that I will never expect you to show up at a crop with me (that's scrapbooking lingo) and I can assure you that I will NOT be the one baiting your hook for you on your fishing thingy (I know it's called a tournament, but I'm trying to make a point here). However- I do love a good football game as much as the next guy- er, um- girl. I love spending my Friday nights at the high school football games and look forward to football season each year. Not a football Mom, just love to watch and support the team, though I do tend to get a bit vocal. So there you go. ;)

I have also learned a few things in this "search"... 1) the things you THINK are important, really aren't. It doesn't really matter that you like the same restaurants or have SOOOO many things in common- the bottom line is... are you like personalities? do you have the same core values? do you see eye-to-eye on the major stuff? if you have any strong convictions, does the other person agree with them? If there are things you detest, does the other person agree with those? THESE are the things that will make or break a relationship. What are your arguing styles? Will they coincide? These are vital. These are the type of questions I need answers to- I really don't care what your favorite color is when it isn't going to alter our life in any way. ;)

*THE DISCLAIMER* I realize that some of my pictures make me appear smaller than I am in person. I'm not sure why that is, but just so you know upfront... I am not a tiny person, I'm not even a "small" person- but I will be. ;) I would consider myself to be a medium-sized person, but we all have different ideas and preferences, etc. so with that in mind, I will tell you- I am a size 12 and decreasing. ;) I lost 80 pounds in the course of the past 2 years and I have a ways to go still 'til I will be satisfied. But those are MY goals and MY aspirations- they have nothing to do with who I am inside and the person I am with should get this. If this bothers you- no harm, no foul. ;) Plenty of fish left out there. Be blessed... :)
