About Me

My journey started as a child in the state of Virginia, with various musical influences. Due to financial limitations, I was never fortunate enough to be trained in formal musical instruction. So I turned to collecting music to satisfy my musical needs. Music has always played a major roll in my life, Ive always felt music on a deeper level than most people. Good music has always touched me and brought me to tears of joy. As a teenager in the 80's, I was into the synth-laden euro-pop of that era, until I came accross a cassette by a group called KraftWerk. That cassette caused a major paradigm in my life. I realized music diddnt have to incorporate live instruments or vocal hooks to be good. It could be entirely electronic and still carry the same magnatude of influence and meaning. I graduated highschool in 1991. Then I entered college and came accross my first rave flyer, while shopping at an underground music store in Richmond Virginia. After attending that event, another paradigm manifested in my life. I realized I'd found my scene. I felt the freedom of spiritual unity and the positive vibes the people and the music created when brought together under one groove. That was when I became a raver and a soldier of the underground. Then I started attending more and more of these events all over the the east coast. I then felt an overwhelming urge to support my movement and began to help distribute flyers and help promoters set up and clean up after events that I had attended. I was a product of the early Washington DC and Baltimore Maryland scenes. Then my junior year of college I ended up with a roommate who was a DJ, and got my first experience with a set of Technics 1200's. I then realized what I had been missing all of my life, an instrument that would allow me to express my musical creativity. I then convinced my roommate to sell me the turntables a mixer and some records before I moved back home after college. Then I locked myself up in the basement for a year and taught myself how to mix. It was then I realized my true calling in life and told my parents that I was going to spin records for the rest of my life and hopefully make a career out of it. Its not very often that people get the chance to do something they love to do and sustain a life from it. This thought made me work even harder to reach my goals. I was addicted to this music and the power and positive influence it had over people. Not wanting to limit myself, I began to experiment with all the different types of music available and learned to mix them all. Then I found House music and everything changed. Being the only person with turntables and lots of knowledege about the music and the scene, I began to push the music by throwing events and playing in clubs on off nights, to educate the masses. Everything just progressed quickly from that point and the stage was set for the rest of the story. My skills improved and mixed tapes backed it up. My reputation was solid and more people began to notice. I played with many superstars, too many to name and proved myself time and time again. After some good advice and some serious soulsearching, I finally realized that Virginia is not the place where I could achieve the level of success, that would satisfy me. I realized if you want to be somebody, you have to go where being someone is somebody to everyone! What better place than Los Angeles California! My intentions are pure! Im here following my heart and fullfilling my destiny. I have began to write and produce my own music. I realize this is the next logical step in the progression of my career and I also realize how impossible it is to achieve international success in this industry, without establishing yourself as a proficient producer as well as a DJ and a personality. Im confident that my skills, experience, taste, dedication and true love for what I do, will make the difference! My dreams will come true! Music is my passion and I take it seriously! My Original productions have started to have an impact! I remixed a track called Remembering Soul by a.k.a. BluBizness and Om records which turned some heads! Recently I got my first real record deal with Red Ant Records and Pete Bones! Ill be putting together an entire 10 track Album, this will be the my first record and this is Red Ant's first Full Album Release!! I love this label and I have purchased tons of the releases myself! The tracks chosen were Reverse Polarization, Enjoy The Ride & Mild Sedative. I call these tracks Progressive Tech House and this is my sound!
