I've always been fascinated by all types of music. Growing up in New York in the 80's my moms always had music playing and had a collection of records with the likes of Stevie Wonder, The Beatles, The Doors, Anita Baker and Bob Marley. In 90' I moved to Florida where my boy James(R.I.P.) introduced me to N.W.A. and 2 Live Crew. Then my older sister put me on to alot of different music from rock like Alice in Chains to Hip Hop like Blackmoon. It all changed when I heard The Infamous Album from Mobb Deep. WOW! 93-96 YA KNOW? {Enta Da Stage, Beats,Rhymes&Life, illmatic, Labcabincalifornia, illadelph Halflife, 36 Chambers, ATLiens, ill Communication, Ready to Die, All Eyez On Me}. I always did keep an ear to other genres of music though. I started Breakin and Djing in the FL underground scene but nothing really came out of it. I moved to Boston then back to New York where I learned of all the underground material I was missing out on. In 2006 I started producing Hip Hop after being influenced by music from 9th Wonder and J Dilla (who is responsible for the production on many of my favorite albums from the mid 90,s). Like them, I use samples in my music from artists like Minnie Riperton to Pink Floyd. I use Technic 1200s, an Akai MPC, The Korg Radius and tons of the latest software from Sony, Native Instruments, iZotope & Garritan. Right now I'm producing a full length album for Ellementt of the BoomBoxBullies titled "Verbal Graffiti" so look for that.
