Band Members: Franklin Fin has numerous years’ experience playing professionally, supplementing his income as a spelunker and cave guide. Hailing from Boulder, CO, Franklin played in renowned venues such as the Boulder Theatre and The Glenn Miller Ballroom. From there Franklin was part of the underground music scene in LA, where he scarcely saw the light of day for four years. Discovering that his mole-like existence had resulted in a great sensitivity to light, he looked for a gig that would be situated further up the meridian where he could enjoy darkness 24 hours a day. Ultimately he moved on to the great white north of Alaska where he began a slow transformation to an Elvis impersonator. Over the years, Franklin has played for audiences ranging from a ruckus hoard Eskimo dog-musher’s in Anaktuvuk Pass, Alaska to 5000 crazed rednecks at the Denver Music Festival. Presently he makes his home in hillbilly hills of Clermont, Florida where his original brand of Rockabilly/Surf music can be heard in clubs in the Orlando and surrounding areas with the band, The Tail Fins.Corkie Yashimoto was born in the United States, he was adopted at the age of 5 by a Japanese couple. He studied surfing and achieved world wide acclaim http://www.surfingstar.com/pc_top.html before realizing that he really didn't like salt water. He switch his focus to guitar and moved to Orlando. There he found employment at one of the local theme parks in a show band. Unfortunately, when the entertainment department was reduced to the Blues Brother, and a three member barber shop quartet and a 5 member strong marching band, Corkie was left unemployed. He has since played in a variety of venues, as a member of the X-Band (see attached photo), behind Sponge Bob Square Pants with polka bands, blues bands and more. Under the ridiculous psuedonym "Martin Sensiper" he was a member of the Altamonte Springs Jazz ensemble for 25 years. http://altamontejazzensemble.com/Soundclips.htm.To suppliment the fabulous income he makes playing music, he enjoys testing electronic circuits and preparing Powerpoint presentations detailing his findings. Peter Fin has been contributing to the low end spectrum of the Orlando music scene for 10 years now, most recently with the Lucky Sevens, a local blues outfit that played venues such as the Beach Shack in Cocoa Beach. He has played styles from pop to jam-band and has a fondness for jazz and cows (yes, cows). He can be currently seen warbling on You-Tube under the curiously chosen pseudonym, Peter Bollinger and as the bassist for The Tail Fins.Rockin’ Ric was slated to join the Pro Bowler’s Tour as a young man before suffering a career ending injury while attempting to rescue his doggie, Sparky, from the jaws of an alligator. He took up drumming to help rehabilitate the tendons in his damaged arm and subsequently went on to be the Drum Major and state-wide champion in the Panama City Drum & Bugle Corp. Rockin’ Ric has an extensive resume as a percussionist and vocalist that includes performing for plays, orchestras, choirs and show bands. His repertoire includes a broad variety of musical genres and his diverse background has included performing with the legendary, Buddy Miles. In recent years Rockin’ Ric has entertained audiences throughout Central Florida; presently he plays drums, percussion and backing vocals for The Tail Fins.
