Effective January 15, 2009, the government of the Republic of the Philippines has destroyed the EQUILIBRIUM OF ECONOMIC POWER between the Filipino people through Philippine Government and the wealthy families, including foreign governments and individuals, through their corporations. By transferring to the latter, as initiated by Pres. Gloria Arroyo's Administration, all the ownership and control of almost all the Public Utility Corporations of the country like: Electric Generations, Transmissions and Distributions; Air, Land and Water Transportations; Telecommunications; Drinking Water Distributions; Oil and Gas Distributions; Oil Exploration and Development; and others.

Meaning, the wealth and resources of this country are now in the hands of these corporations which are collectively owned by few Filipino wealthy families and foreigners plus foreign governments like the Communist China, who partly owned the corporation that purchased the franchise of TRANSCO. Because of this, our democracy and freedom will now be in danger and our government will be a mere puppet of these private corporations, foreign powers, and wealthy families.

In order to deter any impending or probable occurrence of any abuse of power, checks and balances of Political Power was instituted and applied in every democratically established government. However, while we are too busy trying to perfect the behaviors of government officials and employees through appropriate checks and balances, there is another power that is being monopolized and concentrated only among the few families and that power is about Economic Power.

This inequity of economic power was the cause of many wars and revolutions through-out the known human history. Like the reason why communism was proposed by Karl Heinrich Marx in his writing: "The Communist Manifesto" or the revolution of America against England and other European kingdoms. Because of this unchallenged economic power, wealthy people are prone to go beyond what is moral, legal, and acceptable for the majority of the people in the community, whether they are in control of the government or mere financial supporters of those officials in the bureaucracy.

If you have Economic Power consequently you can manipulate and control the Political Power.

That is why both the Political Power and the Economic Power should be put in the state of EQUILIBRIUM to be possessed and controlled by all parties concerned in the country.

The purpose of the government is to realize the aspirations embodied in the Constitution of the land and the Human Rights. On the other hand the objective of the business private sectors is to earn profit, which is an acceptable prize for contributing social development, intellectual innovation and advancements being one among those aspirations.

In order not to undermine these various purposes of the government, the private sector should not be too powerful that it can even sabotage the major social services of the government or hold the public hostage for some selfish demands. That is why, the government should remain in control of the majority, if not all, of these Public Utility Corporations, even though they were earning profits similar to privately-owned businesses.

If there is any corruption or anomaly in the operation and management of these Public Utility Corporations, it must be removed through suitable checks and balances, like the way we control the armed forces and other offices of the government, and not by selling or turning them over to the private sector or any foreign government.

It is wrong to presume and make judgments that people in the government are more corrupt than those in the private sectors. Because it is the government who represents the will and wishes of the entire citizenry. Even if these negative assumptions are true, what we should do is to correct them through some appropriate measures or policies but not to destroy this sacred governmental machinery. To make the government helpless and powerless is a very stupid and an act of Anarchy, even if it is in the guise of free-trade or capitalism. Because Capitalism itself is not a perfect system.

Why Capitalism is not perfect? Because those within and behind it are also human beings and not Gods. While these people are not yet perfect, as to moral behavior, and doing like the compassion and passion of Jesus Christ, they have no right to demand for exemption from the application and influences of Checks and Balances or Equilibrium.

The United States of America and the European nations during their public speeches they fundamentally condemn and despise communism. But why many of their corporations and companies are investing more in China, a communist state? Compared to their investments in India, Indonesia or Philippines, nations struggling to adhere and follow the principles and ideals of democracy.

The United Nations (UN) was created under the inspirations of democracy, freedom and peace loving people. But why China, a communist nation, is a permanent member of the United Nations' Security Council? That the world blindly accept China's control over Tibet and other lands formerly owned by other countries, including China's alleged support of communist insurgencies or rebellions not only in the Philippines but also in other countries in Asia. What makes China so special and immune from worldwide condemnations?

Is this Democracy applicable only among white people? and the colored people has no right to have one? or Is this Democracy only a disguise, an external appearance, a mere bargaining chip or tool for inducement by the white American and European people? So that they can peacefully penetrate every stupid or unsuspecting nation and succeed in grabbing the natural resources of that country. But within the bottom of their hearts a boiling lava of devil's empire or a blood-lust society. Wherein, killing and sufferings of other people are their ultimate desires. That these technologies will be used solely for bullying and mass murders, in order to protect and fulfill the principle of "Survival of the Fittest/Richest."

Lastly, is the relationship of the people, especially between the poor and the rich nations, of the world is like between the prey and the predator? That this peace is only a peace of COMPLACENCY?
