Emmy Award winner, Joan Collaso,
is an international vocalist that hails from Chicago. Her vocal styles of Jazz, R&B, Blues and Gospel have been enjoyed by Jazz lovers all over the world. (Japan, Estonia, Montreal, Germany, Holland, and most recently, Italy). She received rave reviews each of the three times she?s performed at the North Sea Jazz Festival in Holland, and also when she opened for "Take 6" at the Luxor theater in Rotterdam.Joan was born to James and Jean Walton. As a young child Joan was already showing the promise of a gifted singer, as she enjoyed her little solos as part of the Children's Choir at Original Providence Baptist Church, on the West side of Chicago, and she was definitely a "dramatic child" according to her mother.In 1997 Joan appeared in the history-making movie 'Soul Food'. She's played a supporting role for numerous national artists as a background vocalist. Having recently completed her 4th CD, she?s currently working on her 5th. This spirit filled vocalist is truly a refreshing and healing experience for your spirit.
