The mystery of music, the voodoo involved with realizing that a song is great, is what No Border is about.
How does a person define their musical taste? Is it only what they are currently listening to? Is it only the music that made them fans of music? Or is it the sum of every song, every melody, every sound, even every situation that that person has ever experienced?
Wanting to be every great band, and wanting to have written every great song, No Border is a musical project that from its inception was left open to every conscious and unconscious influence. It is not simply the appropriation of similar sounding melodies and sounds, it is that the music of No Border is made up of the same genetic material as it's inspirations: inventive technique born out of necessity, the desperation of communicating ideas and a commitment to grasping the elusiveness of a great song.
No Border may make music that you sometimes love and sometimes hate, but that is only because it is music made to live to.
