In spite of Mário Raposo and Luis Silva are friends since their childhood, they only get together to make music in the year of 1995. Luis was beguining at the time and Mário has already composed several instrumental music pieces. Specially turned, but not only, to romantic songs, they have been composing lots of material, which thirteen songs of the latest were chosen to be part of their first CD GOLD ON BLUE .
The band has recently invited a talented guitarist, Michael Rangel to be the new member of the band. His first appearance will be in their next project entitled "MOMENT OF CLEARNESS".
Apesar de Mário Raposo e Luis Silva serem amigos de longa data, apenas em 1995 começaram a compor juntos para este projecto. Luis Silva começava então a entrar no mundo da música enquanto que Mário Raposo já tinha algum background neste campo com temas originais instrumentais.
Especialmente virado para baladas, mas não só, os Art & Soul têm vindo a compor bastante desde então resultando no primeiro CD lançado em 2001 com o nome "Gold On Blue", o qual se encontra também à venda no CDBABY.
Mais recentemente, foi convidado o guitarrista Michael Rangel para fazer parte da banda. A sua primeira aparição será no novo CD "Moment Of Clearness neste momento em processo de gravação.
