Heyo! So you wanna hear the blurbs about me? I'm just a chick. My name is Monya. I grew up in Pretoria . in a paradise yard with a big blueswimming pool. I love spending time with friends around an excuse for fellowshipping. Whenever I get the chance I love to chill under a semi-clouded sunshine sky on a bed of soft grass and watch natures display of natural harmony. If I'm on a serious 'binge'I'd make an occasion of the starry night sky too. That's where I can better make sense of the infinite size of everything and kinda feel safe ...being so tiny. I play the guitar (electric, acoustic), vocal and write tunes in a band called Elaborate Station. My favorite sound in the world...is a guitar, off course, with a nice crunch tone, crisp to the core. We frequently gig in around Joburg and Pretoria . and we love getting great rock 'n roll bands together to share the tunes. I've kinda gotten to know myself better through people. It always fascinates me the way every individual sparks a certain light in a situation, giving room for continual flow and new encounters. 'Growth', in a nut shell.' What really gets me is the ongoing familiarity I discover I have with others. It's this humanity that is often my greatest instrument for learning, and growing to maturity and our full stature. The only thing that gets me on the down side in this arena is how people seem so casually to leave God out of the equation and dismiss the possibility of an infinite love-blooded-heart-beat pounding with passion for no greater joy than us. It is hard to understand and grasp from this 'wee' point of view but yet is essential to understand. But as the degrees of discussions unfold we find ourselves one way or another. Hounded by choices, I'm often still sometimes even surprised. This is where I try to find the balance between being at heart as a child as well as using my given ability to respond to a given situation. That's what I like to refer to as responsibility. It's always scratchy but also rather exciting. Ok...now I am going to move on to the crescendo the grand finale of what I'd like to say to you all.It's the band of musicians most dear to me seeking I did seek and finding I did find it's the band none other than ....Switchfoot. And I say it loud! Put it out there for the greatest lyics and music combined I've ever come by! There's not one song on the albums that have come by me unapproved! In a nut shell they actually 'say' something and the added bonus is they do it so well. I take my hat off you Jon.
