Band Members: I have recentley become the Lead Singer of a 10 piece Jump Band Called "Subblime Swing". You may have noticed that its spelt SUBBlime, That is because the band is part of the "Swing Unlimited Big Band" organisation. Subblime play dance music of the 30's,40's and 50's so come along and strut your stuff. Lindy Hop, Jiive, Jitterbug, Mambo, Modern Jive or just get your groove on! If you're not a dancer then come anyway and listen to the melodic noodlings of our Tenor Sax player James Rawlinson, Baritone Sax - Martin Chilvers, Trumpet - Alan Jenkins, Trombone - Mark Morris. Vocals are supplied by our very own Dorset Crooner - Howard Mitchell. Last but not least the swinginest Rhythm section in town - Geoff Westgate - Guitar, David Vincent/Steve Street - Bass, Pete Mundy - Drums.

I sing regularly with "In The Pink Big Band" who are Directed By my friend Debbie Rogers. Perfect for parties and functions that require that extra "something" from an evening. In The Pink donate proceeds from every Gig to Cancer research UK. You can check them out at www.youtube.com/inthepinkband
Recently i have been gigging with Subbzero, an eight piece band who specialise in playing a mixture of Swing, Funk, Soul, Ska and Reggae! Run by my good friend Pete Williams.
I also ocassionally perform with Swing Unlimited Big Band (SUBB). A great Community Big Band, who in the past have given me great opportunities to showcase my ablities. They have a Myspace which you can find in my friend list.
Influences: To name a few: Bobby Darin, Matt Monro, Frank Sinatra, Elvis Presley, Louis Prima, Joe Williams, Ray Charles, Nat King Cole, Stevie Wonder, Sammy Davis Jr, Vic Damone, Johnny Cash, Michael Buble, Harry Connick Junior, Dean Martin, The Mills Brothers, Big Bad Vodoo Daddy, Indigo Swing, The Jive Aces, The Royal Crown Revue...
The amazing arrangements of Cole Porter, Nelson Riddle, Tommy Dorsey, Jimmy Van Heusen, Sammy Cahn, George and Ira Gershwin, Count Basie, Duke Ellington and again the list could go on and on and on...
Sounds Like: Hard to answer this one. I think I share elements of my heroes voices, yet i think i'm still in the process of 'finding' my voice! I'm just aiming to get better and better and hopefully one-day have a sound that people will think is unique.
