Convicto #6

Not much to say, but anyway...A young spaniard, I recently moved to Hong Kong for an indefinite period in order to do my PG studies and work. Europeans believe that Hong Kong is such a tiny place where everything is packed within one island, and that's what I too used to believe until I visited for the first time some years ago. All of a sudden I find myself living so far away from where absolutely everything is that I could easily say I live in mainland China rather than in Hong Kong. Definitely not in the widely British influenced part of the region. Did I mention that the weather is horrid?Now if I could at least communicate in Cantonese, that would definitely make things much easier.
