The Billiards & Social Club, Sible Hedingham, hosts a regular acoustic open mic night every fourth Wednesday of the month. From starting out promarily as a showcase for folk and other traditional and acoustic music, this night has been going from strength to strength over the last year, and broadened the styles of music that is played there... featuring some exceptionally talented musicians at every level. The Kings Head, Pebmarsh, is home to a Regular Open Mic/Semi-Acoustic Jam night every last Friday of the month. Hosted by Pete Melhuish, this where Modern, Irish and traditional folk rubs shoulders with spoken word poetry and a little 70’s style acoustic rock.

The White Lion, Sible Hedingham, has bands and solo musicians appearing on saturdays (and some bank holiday Sundays) at least once a month. Playing a cross section of Rock, blues and 60’s to 90’s covers. They also have a couple of guitars to hand (at one point there was seven!) in the bar ready for those impromptu jam sessions.

The Woodman, Halstead, has blues, rock and pop bands and solo acts playing every Friday and Saturday throughout the year, a great venue with a friendly atmosphere and plenty of room to let your hair down. They also run a regular open mic'/jam night every other Wednesday (so bring your guitar, sax or just your voice down and get involved).

The Sugar Loaves, Sible Hedingham, Now looking for bands/duo's and solo acts to book due to recently getting their PRS licence. Give them a call. Contact: Wendy on 01787 463917.
