ADAM SATOW (THE FINE TUNER)

About Me

I have been DJing and partying since the early days of house music, that might make me sound over the hill, past it, a propper pensioner, a disco victim. Think again wildchild, my second wind is coming and there will be no escape from the beats and bass of my morden/ retro sets in the coming months. Where I am on the dance floor, make way, cos there will be hands, feet, arms, legs and other body parts flying towards you with great speed and energy, not always elegant but certainly entertaining. I have been raving since 1988 (Shoom, Love Ranch, Spiral Tribe(Arundell), TONKA, Strutt, MOIST, Busbys, The Mud club, LOST, Dr Atomics, Coalesque, Sancho Panza, Subterrian and Underwater at The End) and Djing since 1991 (1st Gig at the East London Polytechinic, to bunch of magic mushroom chopping loonies dressed as Trapist Monks, a baptisim of fire, broke a neddle after the 2nd track whoops, but rest assured my skills have greatly increased with time) I have played in the scuziest back rooms to the plushest venues in a continuing mission to bring great music to your ears (414 club, Brixton Academy VIP, The Tunnel in Brighton, Pacha London, Filter London and Leeds, Duke of Edinburgh Brixton, Sinners Amsterdam, Anam N1, J3 N1, Sex in the City, Smokey Beats (Paul Barkworth) and last but not least all the fantastic 1 offs and the mental squat parties in Brighton and London. I have spent time Djing in Canada, Toronto(6 months residency at 2000BC), I have travelled all over, taking in Turkey, France, Spain, US, Thailand, India, Cyprus, Corsica. I have lived for year in total in Nepal (teaching English, getting stoned, listening to DIY (Nottingham) mix tapes and walking for weeks at a time), loved every minitue of it appart from being arrested as a communist trouble maker and being deported, only to be invited back by the newly established parliment that was then over thrown by the King and his army. But its all good there now and would encourage anyone to spend some time there,it is paradise. I will add some Nepal blogs in time, need to find my old diaries. I will post more details of up coming gigs, parites and events in due course. I will post monthly charts of music I consider to be worth mentioning and events that I will be spinning at.My brother (Dylan) and I will be working on new tracks this year and will be placing them on this page for your assessment, watch this space and KEEP THE FAITH (House is an emotional feeling) big love DJASXXX
