LAM! has created a simultaneously adorable and perverse blend of sex dance and rock and roll with a conscience but without shame.Betsy Shane began her musical career as the lead vocalist in Pink Paisley Sofa, a short lived but much beloved act on the Long Island and NYC punk circuit. After moving to North Carolina in 2003, she joined up with The Relatively Calm for a fruitful four year career which resulted in one EP, one LP and many contacts. Betsy Shane has worked on projects with seasoned musicians like jazz pianist Mark Fleischer, and Sorry About Dresden's Matthew Oberst. As LAM! LAM!, she has fused her punk roots with an indie DIY aesthetic, and applied her academic study to write clever pop gems that will stick in your head for weeks after the first listen. LAM! LAM! chews up your subconscious desires and spits them back at you with a sassy uhn-tiss uhn-tiss uhn-tiss.Since her first appearance as LAM! LAM! in Summer, 2007, Betsy Shane has been turning heads delivering frank lyrics with her distinct and powerful voice. Through campy performances she has won the hearts of her audience, and through complex needling hooks, she sinks in her claws for the long haul.Of course we will play a show with you.
