It all started for Dedhedz at Castle Moreton in ’92. We were stuck like everybody else in a sea of cars and tents with no cash and a tiny stash, but that didn’t matter. We’d just produced our first white label and that weekend the tune got played again and again….after that there was no looking back.
Over the following years, under various guises, we worked with labels like Logic Records, Frankfurt Beat, Rising High, Cheeky, Sony, Warner Bros, London Records and many more, producing dance floor vinyl and undertaking multiple remixes with top 10 dance chart success. We tore it up in Ibiza and PA’d all over Europe and the UK, performing alongside Carl Cox, Dave Angel, Jam & Spoon, Jeff Mills and loads of others, and played to more than 10,000 people at Tribal Gathering.
In ’99 we signed a publishing deal with Peer Music and moved on to production and composition for various artists in their stable, and also started doing TV and advertising work for companies like Sega, Audi, Channel 4, MTV and others. We were also remixing for acts like the So Solid Crew, and releasing dance vinyl under the name of Bitter & Twisted.
Now with rave culture back, Dedhedz return in their origin ‘Back to Basics’ guise with the ‘Candy Baby’ EP due for release at the beginning of June, and an album to follow towards the end of the year.
