About Me

I edited my profile with Thomas' MySpace Editor

Well, for starters I'm about a third of the way through my projected lifespan. I was born in the city of Manila in the Republic of the Philippines , and moved to the United States of America in 1989. I've lived in California and Massachusetts and have stayed in a few other points between.
I have a fixation with containers (satchels, tins, boxes, file folders, etc.) as well as an obsession with turning things into something they aren't, whether it be literally (e.g. manila folder into mask) or figuratively (e.g. mole-hill into mountain). Recently, I've found it very difficult to just walk past music stores, particularly independent ones with large used selections. I am a firm believer that fact and fiction are equally strange and should always be so.
THE STATE I AM IN
Life in the OC is falling into quite a fine groove (save for the whole unemployed thing). I'm digging my home now that I've taken the time to decorate, and have thus dubbed it the Manor in Irvine. I dare say it's the coziest abode in which I've laid my head in recent years. My band is pretty much the focus of all my artistic energies right now, though graphic design is keeping me off the streets and away from illegal narcotics and petty crime as well. I'm trying to divvy up my time wisely amongst:
• Plugging away with The Moods
• Supporting Erin and her comrades-in-arts at The University of California, Irvine Claire Trevor School of the Arts
• Designing print and web graphics for Glass Kitten Productions
• Continuing to find sources for inspiration for my artistic endeavors
• Seeing bands I enjoy
• Learning the ins and outs of a wholly new portion of the state I do so love
• Keeping things in perspective and doing my best to be a good husband to my darling wife I've also just finished some support work for my friends, The Jennifer Project. They just released their debut EP (for which I designed the jacket) and re-launched their website (for which I did the re-design and all the graphics). Check them out online at thejenniferproject.com or visit their MySpace profile at myspace.com/jenniferproject to see the work I've done.

I sit alone in my bedroom staring at the wall

In the spirit of the awards season, I thought I'd reprise my encapsulation of the previous year's notables.  2006 was a roller-coaster year for me.  I say this because I've caught myself usi...

Some brand new gory art from way on high

A clump of spit hits the pavement, or maybe a wad of over-chewed gum, or maybe something best not identified here. The clump sits on the sidewalk neglected. It's avoided by the heel of the street-sa...
