Blood Vows: Music From & Inspired by the Film

About Me

"Blood Vows" is a short film written by Kris Triana and directed by Jason Anz that is currently in the final stages of preproduction. Music has always influenced the two of them in one way or another, and this film is no different. Kris's screenplay has numerous notes about music (styles, sounds like, etc), and Jason, being a musician as well as a filmmaker decided to makes some new stuff for this film. Kris, not to sit in Massachusettes doing nothing while Jason is busy filming and scoring in Florida, decided to do some work of his own, and now the two are colaborating on numerous songs for the soundtrack.
The only "cover" song in the bunch is the arrangement of "Run On", an old gospel tune that lays in the public domain. The song was recently made popular by Johnny Cash under the name "God's Gonna Cut You Down", and is musically arranged and perfromed here by Jason with Kris howling out the vocals.
Special guest artist includes Amber Newberry, frontwoman of the popular neo-classical metal band BROKEN SEPTEMBER (myspace.com/bandseptember). She sings and performs the ballad "I'll Never Smile Again", composed with Kris whom wrote the uber-depressing lyrics.
