Yep, we finally did it. This is the official Volts myspace page. Why now you ask? Well, you may or may not be suprised to hear it, but some of us are still around, and evidently people still like this stuff. The Volts were formed in late 1998, rocked like fuck, and broke up in late 2001. Though the run was short and sweet, the impact that The Volts had on the music community is still felt today. Taking influence from bands like the Dead Boys, Stooges, the Dicks, and X, and mixing it with the dirty rock and roll sounds of Early 70's Rolling Stones, early country, blues, and soul, The Volts trully created a sound all their own. Known for not only great rock and roll, but crazy and outlandish live shows as well, The Volts were trully a force to be reckoned with. Many thanks to the bands that we played with, (or as I am sure a lot of you remember cancelled on at the last minute), which included Bad Brains, The Misfits, Marky Ramone, AFI, Murder City Devils, The Pattern, Bellrays, the Dirtbombs, Varukers, Valentine Killers, Scared Of Chaka, Pinhead Circus, The Down N Outs, and so many more that I don't have time to type them all. Please feel free to leave your comments, pictures, memories, and rants and raves for us. Keep checking back, this summer holds a suprise that will put you on your ass for sure!
