Freddie Earl Branch was born in Compton, CA on December 2, 1982, the eldest of three children. At the age of four, Freddie's parents divorced; A short while later, his mother remarried and moved the family north to Oakland, CA.Early on Freddie was introduced to music by his mother, Joanna Crandall, who having been a recording artist herself in the late 60’s/70’s, knew that young Freddie was a star in the making. In his early teens, Freddie took it upon himself to pursue his music career. By the age of thirteen, he had the ability to rap; young Freddie collaborated with a childhood friend (and now business associate) Devon Dorton a.k.a D.A.T., as well as, a few other neighborhood kids. They formed The Underground Family (U.G.F). They were produced by the likes of Sets One of San Francisco, O.G. Dondatta of Suspect Records and the Residue, Vellski and Fifty Grand of Residue Productions.Although The U.G.F. never completed an album, they ultimately decided to part company. Freddie was then introduced to a singing group of talented young men: Tyrone Thompson, Lonnye Dotson, and Anthony Benjamin; forming the group, Qurve. While in the group, Qurve, Freddie had various performances, including: The Sacramento State Fair; recorded various songs under the tutelage of various producers and engineers including: Vincent Brantley a.k.a. Van Gough; Keith Martin; Jessie Tate of Next Level; Charlie Boi; L.J. of BAJ; among others. The collaboration with Qurve was short-lived. In 2004, as Freddie was diagnosed with Colitis; which subsequently contributed to the group going their separate ways. Again, Freddie crossed paths with another childhood associate, by the name of Taj Mahal (Empire Records), along with fellow artists’ Jimmie Reign and Earl Hayes; Freddie (then under the moniker of Fredro B.) went forth with the intention of recording and finishing an album. Unfortunately, the end result of that union was the demise of Empire Records.Freddie persevered and stayed the course. Again he reunited with yet another old acquaintance, Sean Yarborough. Yarborough approached Freddie with the offer of producing an album for him. Under the stage name Dirty Rice, Sean and Freddie established the company Trunk Rattlin’ Music, and under that umbrella they both released respective albums’; Freddie’s being called Skinny Power. Due to creative differences, Freddie and Sean also parted ways.In the eleventh hour, fate interceded. Freddie was approached by a man with a dream, Coach Floyd Payne. Payne introduced Freddie to his cousin S.A., the owner of Top of the Line Entertainment, who then took Freddie on as an artist. S.A. was sold with Freddie’s voice, and immediately went into production on an album. A cousin of Floyd and S.A’s, by the name of Jessie Amos, was also recording an album for Top of the Line Entertainment; it was then that Jessie and Floyd came up with the idea for AlleyBoyz Entertainment (Coach Payne had already established AlleyBoyz Athletics). Now under the name E.F. Holla, Freddie continues to produce and engineer for AlleyBoyz Entertainment, as well as, assist in running the company working diligently to establish his own imprint, Black Label Music & Ent. Currently, he is working in association with S.A., Spit, TradeMark of Nickel and Dime Entertainment; and D. Dallas,Hubba Rock Music, on the construction of his new album, Elegance; of which he will share his private life and his innermost thoughts. The Line is the Label, AlleyBoyz is the Squad, Black Label is the Movement!!!!!!!
